OVI'S VISIT FROM HIS FAIRY GOALMOTHER.

January 22, 2011
Some absolutely awesome games tonight. Even with some big players missing from the game, teams rallied together and looked awesome. Big players who have been going through slumps have started to pull out of their slumps, and rookies are stepping up to fill the shoes of players that are not playing up to their full potential. Braden Holtby saved 36 goals tonight, and finished with a .972% save percentage (blocking 97 of the 100 shots aimed at him), Fleury finished the night with 26 blocked shots, and a .923% save percentage. Stone defiantly wants to be part of helping me teach myself (and you all!) about hockey so he took sometime and broke down the goals, assists and play times of some of the top games of the night, which is below the scores, speak of scores…

Also so news regarding the All Star game it seems as though Sidney Crosby, and Evgeni Malkin will not be playing. Sid due to the concussion he received in the Winter Classic. Malkin will most likely be out because of a knee injury he has been nursing for most of the season. A shame that they will not be playing however, it is much better sit out and nurse an injury so they can be back to playing at full potential for playoffs. With them being out and a few others this opens the position for a few more players to be pulled up to play in the game Stones pulling for Kovalchuk.
The Captians of the All-Star teams have also picked their Alternate Captians:
            Nicklas Lidstrom C (Detroit Redwings
Patrick Kane A ( Chicago Blackhawks)
Martin St. Louis A (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Patrick Kane #88 for the Chicago Blackhawks, chosen as an Alternate Captain for  Nicklas Lidstrom

            Eric Staal C (Carolina Hurricanes)
                        Mike Green A (Washington Capitals)
                        Ryan Kesler A (Vancouver Canucks)
Ryan Kesler #17 of the Vancouver Canucks, chosen as an Alternate Captain for Eric Staal

I would put bets, that now especially that Sidney Crosby is sitting out on the All Star events, we are looking at either Steven Stamkos or Alexander Ovechkin being picked first for the fantasy draft.
