The Brothers Staal, met Marc, Jordan, Eric and Jared a powerhouse clan of brothers that are all currently playing professionally in the NHL. The four brothers like four horsemen hit you all at once and they hit you hard, and may have a pretty intense hangover in the morning. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Eric, 25 is currently playing for the Carolina Hurricanes (if that name sounds familiar GOOD! it should he was named as a Captain for the All-Star event this upcoming weekend), he was drafted in early 2003, and has played 6 seasons as #12 for the Hurricanes, Eric also has the fun experience of playing with his youngest brother Jared, 20. Jared played for the San Antonio Rampage in the 09 season (Rampage is the AHL affiliate team for the Phoenix Coyotes, remember AHL is kind of like the “JV” teams for the NHL teams.) Jared was traded in May of 2010 to the Carolina Hurricanes and plays as number #27, along side his big brother Eric. Middle brother Marc, 23 plays for the New York Rangers, and was drafted with the Rangers first round pick in 2005, he has had three NHL seasons as #18.  And last, but certainly not least is Jordan 22, who we all got an up-close look at during HBO’s Winter Class 24/7 special, Jordan has played 4 NHL seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins as #11, he won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in ’08-’09. (thanks wiki).  Even though the teams they play for, as always whenever New York, or Pittsburgh are involved, are sworn enemies, the brothers never fail to bring a fast and furious game.
